Okarito and good company...

4th Mars

Babs made a short day to Gillespies beach in hope to meet up with Paul Caffyn one of the worlds great seakayak legends, he lives just 4 hours north, but as lcuk would have it Paul was not able to make it Gillespies beach.

5th Mars

A sore back and extremely tired Babs first planed to stay and wait to meet up with Paul, but the conditions were perfect to continue, well at first, but strong tail winds came up as Babs pulled into Okarito to a welcome from a familiar face, Paul himself.

Weather looks good for the next days, all though a SW swell will be building making landing dificult in places.
