Westport!

Babs after landing in the more sheltered Woodpecker Bay after paddling from Greynouth.

12 March: After a day resting at Pauls yesterday, Babs returned to Woodpecker Bay with John and this morning in Sweden we woke to good news from Paul by e-mail that Babs was safe and sound with good company in Westport, despite a large swell. Weather looks good the next days so its planed to round Farewell Spit and head into Abels Tasman as soon as possible. The next two days should be her last real tough days of large swells and poor landings.
Well done Babs!

Bra jobbat! Nu är det bara en centimeter kvar på min skärm!
Ta det lugnt sista biten.
That's a fantastic effort - a pretty quick trip up the West Coast, given the terrible weather at the start. And a safe crossing of one of the trickiest pieces of coastline you can find anywhere. Good luck on the last sector back to Picton.
How lucky you've been to have a friend like Paul waiting on the beach! It's so good to see a fellow kayaker helping others.
Best wishes for the paddle up to the 'corner' and across the bay to Picton!
hallå babs. skönt att läsa att det går framåt nu. följer dig varje dag och väntar med spänning till du kommer hem och berättar lite sköna historier. nu går jag och väntar på paddlingen här hemma tillsammans med dig. sköt om dig.
