Escape from Fiordland....

A short brief message came at 10pm NZT to say she was Safe at Hanna´s Birdlings after a hard surf landing, I suspect this was in the evening light with a 2m swell.
Babs now starts a new chapter having escaped after 6 days stranded alone in rain and wind from the remote Fiordland coast. The west coast will present it´s own problems including long exposed surf breaks and the notorius west coast sandflies, but the good news its a good forecast for the next days with variable winds under 10 knots and a relatively low surf swell of 1 to 1.5 meters.
Special thanks to everyones comments and the Milford marine fishing radio community and of course again Meri who all took time to look out for Babs.
