Happy New Year

1st January, no news from Babs this morning so either she is recoverng from a new year party or she is heading towards Christchurch with a tail wind and improving conditions the next days.

31st December
No kayaking condition gives Babs time Monday to hitch into Christchurch and collect her new Satelite phone that has become apparently important to send weather conditions all as she continues al around the coast. Special thanks to Paul at Wright Technologies for their help at short notice

30th December
Babs left Gore Bay Sunday morning but after approximately an hour ducked into Montenau bay as the winds came up again. Again she found herself with some local holiday makers and had a very social time.
